Jorge Munoz, MD

Dr. Jorge Munoz, M.D., is a board-certified gastroenterologist with over 20 years of experience. He completed his residency in Gastroenterology at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and has extensive knowledge of the digestive system and its disorders, including conditions affecting the stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Dr. Munoz specializes in general gastroenterology screenings, such as colonoscopies and endoscopies, which help detect and prevent serious conditions like colorectal cancer. He also diagnoses and treats issues like difficulty swallowing (dysphagia), acid reflux and heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and persistent abdominal pain, which can be linked to conditions such as food sensitivities, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
