He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University, and as a student at NEOMED, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as the surgical chief resident during his final year of training. He was also awarded “Most Exemplary Resident” during graduation.
