Dr. Waxman was everything we wanted and more in an ENT surgeon for our 8yr old daughter’s tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. While we weren’t quite prepared for the severity that recovery had in store, it was not for lack of information from him. Straightforward professionalism with a warm bedside manner is a rare find in the medical field, and we were lucky enough to find it with him.

Did a fine job cleaning my ears sending me home after a couple drops of antibiotic in my my ear.

This was one of the worst and most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. The staff failed to inform me about any charges for a standard check-up, even though they had my insurance details four days before my appointment. I was shocked when they asked for $350 at the time of my visit, claiming it was due to how my insurance policy is set up.
At the very least, I expected to be informed about the charges beforehand—either during the appointment scheduling or at the time of check-in.
To make matters worse, the doctor simply examined my ear, nose, and throat using a lighted instrument, which took no more than five minutes—the same quick check-up my primary care physician does without any extra fees.
It feels like patients are being taken advantage of through unclear communication and surprise billing. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way this was handled.

I called the office and said I was looking for a referral for myofunctional therapy, set the appointment and paid my co-pay to be told he “didn't know much about that and would not write a referral”. Review your appointment needs beforehand and don’t take them if you can’t or won’t meet the patient needs.

He was easy to talk to, and listened to my concerns. We came up with a plan that I was comfortable with. I really appreciate that!
