Dr. Jonathan D. Haskel was born and raised in Morristown, NJ, and specializes in sports medicine, which enables him to take care of patients with a variety of injuries involving the shoulder, elbow, and knee joints, as well as fractures, sprains, and strains.
Dr. Haskel completed his undergraduate education at Duke University, where he rowed on the Duke Men’s Crew Team. After college, he attended Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City. His peers and faculty elected him to serve as an Executive Chief Resident in his final year of training.
Following residency, Dr. Haskel completed an additional year of training in Vail, CO at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic and Steadman-Philippon Research Institute. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed research papers and book chapters, and his research has been presented at national and international meetings. Additionally, he serves as a journal reviewer for the American Journal for Sports Medicine (AJSM) and Orthopaedic Journal for Sports Medicine (OJSM).
Dr. Haskel has been a physician for Team USA and the US Ski and Snowboard Teams, providing medical coverage for events from Colorado to Switzerland, and continues to serve as an active physician for the US Olympic Ski and Snowboard teams.
