Dr Hobbs is by far the best Neruo specialist I’ve ever known. He is a great listener, his knowledge surpasses any other, highly caring, and is utmost personable. My lumbar issue was one of the worst ever, I tolerated it for 20 plus years of my life only to find out I was misdiagnosed in 2015 by what I thought was a top facility in South Bend. In 2017 I met Dr Hobbs when he preformed vertiplasty on my Mother. He highly intrigued me, we spoke of my situation and I think he was astounded by my self taught knowledge of the spine. At that time I told him we would meet again someday only I would be the paitent. This occured in May of 2024. Dr Hobbs preformed a lumbar cage fusion with great success on what I understood to be the worst lumbar stenosis he corrected to date. Well so far so good, I could have not made a better choice for my condition or care and knew such was the case from the first time we spoke. I’m so thankful beyond belief for Dr Hobbs, professionalism, none finer ! Tony W.

First impressions are so important, and my first impression of Dr. Hobbs is that I made the right choice switching to his care. A doctor that is just one of us; talks to you like a human being.The 1st dr to ask me what I have been doing my whole life, which is tree work and landscaping since 13yrs old, which I'm still doing. Dr Hobbs did a discectomy for me and it went fantastic.Other drs kept telling me it was because I was getting older and I was just going to hurt and to try exercise. I struggled with back and sciatic pain for 1.5 years due to a herniated disc and I’m only 30. I tried every non surgical method (months of chiropractic, months of physical therapy, tons of ibuprofen and time) and finally decided to see a surgeon. My only regret is not seeing him sooner!!

I went to see him on referral from the hospital. Pinched nerve in neck leading to intense and unrelenting shoulder pain. Told him hydrocodone did not work to stop the pain, since the hospital had tried it. Told me to up the dosage of the nerve blocker. They then pushed me out the door saying my prescription has been called in and they gave me no paperwork for my visit, so I had no clue what scripts or even billing information, the assistant just stated they are busy and don't want me to wait in pain. This was at 2pm on a weekday. Went to pick up the prescription and it has not been called in. I called the doctors office to confirm I was at the right pharmacy, they state they have been busy and should send it over shortly. I waited until 6 at the pharmacy until the script was sent over. When I pick up the script is only for hydrocodone. I call back the next day and ask about the gabapentin, the girl says he never wrote a script for that and they will have to call me back, they have not

Dr. Hobbs knows what he's doing and takes his time with his patients he listens to you and does whatever is needed to help. Dr Hobbs is the only one I will see for all of my aches and pains.

Doctor Hobbs is a true professional in every sense. His attention to detail is greatly appreciated. On top of everything else, hes just a great guy.

He's awesome because he comes in and will talk to you before ever reading or looking at any images. He comes in talks to you about the problem then he'll look at all of the images to see if they line up with what you say so he can make a decision on both sets of information and not just what the radiologist says. Makes me feel very comfortable because I'm being listened to.

I would give Jonathan Hobbs 10 stars if I could. He is confident not cocky. Compassionate. He listens to you. When you’re told that you’re going to be having a serious surgery and you’re gonna wake up in I. C U that’s a pretty scary feeling. But when it was time , I had all the confidence to trust my life in his hands. I cannot say enough about him and his nursing staff. At Northwest porter hospital Valpo. I CU Team was incredible. Could not have asked for better care.
