Excellent care from Dr. Ditkoff! He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and patiently answered all of my questions. I felt completely informed and well cared for. Highly recommend Dr. Ditkoff!

My first time to see the doctor. He is very nice, professional and knowledgeable. Makes you feel at ease. I can tell right away that he has a good bedside manner. I like the fact that he paid attention to details. He found a lash that was growing inside my eyelid instead of outside. He removed it with no problems. He will perform the YAG procedure on me in the coming days. The staff is also great. Overall I’m very satisfied with the service. Highly recommended.

Dr. Jonathan Ditkoff practices general ophthalmology. He specializes in surgical correction of refractive errors, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism through laser vision correction procedures, which reshape the cornea using the excimer laser. He has been performing refractive surgery for over fifteen years. He has performed thousands of laser procedures. As the corneal specialist for The Eye Care Center, he performs corneal transplants. He regularly performs cataract, glaucoma and eyelid surgery. Dr. Ditkoff also offers laser cataract surgery performed using the femtosecond laser.
Dr. Ditkoff received his undergraduate degree from the City University of New York and his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse, School of Medicine. He was a cum laude graduate in the top 5% of his class. Dr. Ditkoff served his ophthalmology residency at the highly respected Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He served a fellowship in corneal and external disease and refractive surgery at the Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York.
A board certified ophthalmologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Ditkoff often lectures before medical societies and is the director of The Eye Care Center continuing education lecture series for optometrists.
Dr. Ditkoff is affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center, HUMC at Mountainside Hospital. Dr. Ditkoff performs surgery at Essex Specialized Surgical Institute and New Jersey Center for Cornea and Refractive Surgery, a new state of the art facility located in West Orange, NJ. Since 1988 Dr. Ditkoff has been involved in a variety of research projects involving corneal and laser vision correction surgery.
