Great bedside manner. It was a new patient appointment and Dr Bender had read up on the information and scans I had provided ahead of the appointment and was completely knowledgeable on my health issues. It was a very pleasant experience that he had taken the time to understand my health concerns. All around a Superb team.

Great doctor with a great bedside manner. Dealing with cancer is life changing, Dr Bender will be able to explain what options are available. Easy to talk to. My wife is dealing with a more seriou cancer then I and he has asked about her and has answered some of my questions about her s cancer.

Dr. Jonathan Bender treats patients with all cancer types given his extensive experience in oncology and hematology. He joined Piedmont Cancer Institute in 2001 and currently serves as Medical Director of the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Cancer Center.
Previously, Dr. Bender served as Section Chief of Hematology and Oncology, Chairman of the Cancer Committee, and Chairman of Continuing Medical Education at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Before attending medical school, he served as a volunteer in the US Peace Corps in the Philippines.
Dr. Bender is the recipient of numerous honors and awards. He received the State of Ohio Regents Scholarship for Undergraduate and Medical School. He also received the Wittenberg University Achievement Award in 1991, the Amgen Fellowship Award in 1999, and the Rhone-Poulene Rorer Fellowship Grant in 1999 and 2000. Dr. Bender has numerous publications and abstracts in Hematology and Oncology and is actively involved in clinical research trials.
Dr. Bender has two children and loves cooking for friends and family. Dr. Bender is a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
