I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Bender. He provides objective perspectives without coming across as condescending. He doesn't rush patients , but takes time to listen to patients, and answer questions & concerns.

Did not feel listened to by this doctor! Didn't feel like I was important. I was really disappointed at the way I was made to feel! My concerns did not seem to be very important and was made to feel as though I wasn't a priority.

Entire experience from check in to seeing all doctors was a great experience. Dr Bender listened and answered all questions and took time to make sure we understood issue.

Dr. Jonathan Bender treats patients with all cancer types given his extensive experience in oncology and hematology. He joined Piedmont Cancer Institute in 2001 and currently serves as Medical Director of the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Cancer Center.
Previously, Dr. Bender served as Section Chief of Hematology and Oncology, Chairman of the Cancer Committee, and Chairman of Continuing Medical Education at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Before attending medical school, he served as a volunteer in the US Peace Corps in the Philippines.
Dr. Bender is the recipient of numerous honors and awards. He received the State of Ohio Regents Scholarship for Undergraduate and Medical School. He also received the Wittenberg University Achievement Award in 1991, the Amgen Fellowship Award in 1999, and the Rhone-Poulene Rorer Fellowship Grant in 1999 and 2000. Dr. Bender has numerous publications and abstracts in Hematology and Oncology and is actively involved in clinical research trials.
Dr. Bender has two children and loves cooking for friends and family. Dr. Bender is a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
