Initial meeting with Dr. Wilbanks was good. I felt he addressed my issues and came up with an initial game plan. I will say that I felt he is a bit of a fast talker and I found it was a little difficult to find a time to ask questions that I had. Overall, I do feel he had my best interest in mind and that is what counts.

Dr. John Wilbanks earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama before attending the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After graduation from medical school in 1994, he served as a resident in general surgery for two years at the UAB Hospital. He then completed four years of urological training there.
In addition to being a partner of Urology Centers of Alabama, Dr. Wilbanks is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeast Section of the American Urological Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Shelby County Medical Society, and the Birmingham Urology Club. Currently, Dr. Wilbanks is a member of the medical staff at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, St. Vincent’s East, and St. Vincent’s Birmingham. He is a native of Tallassee, AL.
