He was patient, kind, courteous, sweet, excellent bed side manner, very outgoing but in a humble way even after leaving the room & bumping to him down the hall! My husband was very very negative about this visit but the second Dr. Wilbanks entered the room he put him at ease talking to him not to me. I appreciated for doing that! My husband doesn’t have a lick of medical knowledge 😏 but that was ok… Dr. Wilbanks talked where he could understand. Thank you Dr. Wilbanks!

Dr. John Wilbanks earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama before attending the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After graduation from medical school in 1994, he served as a resident in general surgery for two years at the UAB Hospital. He then completed four years of urological training there.
In addition to being a partner of Urology Centers of Alabama, Dr. Wilbanks is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeast Section of the American Urological Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Shelby County Medical Society, and the Birmingham Urology Club.
