Dr. Urse has a special interest in hip arthroscopy, particularly in reshaping the ball and socket of the hip joint to prevent early arthritis and need for joint replacements. He also uses hip arthroscopy to repair torn gluteus medius tendons – the so-called “rotator cuff tear of the hip” and holds a patent on these repairs done through three small holes as an outpatient procedure.
Dr. Urse has specialized training in orthobiologics and experience in orthobiologic treatments such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) and regenerative cell injections to delay joint replacement surgeries, using the patient’s own cells for healing and anti-inflammatory effects.
Prompt, caring, and informative.
I went in to have 2 complicated bakers cysts looked at and discuss possible treatment. I had an ultrasound done prior to appointment. I was taken into an exam room that had not been cleaned after the last patient was seen In there. He came into the room felts the cysts and began telling me my treatment options, one option is having another ultrasound done with a radiologist he "trusts". He did not look at the ultrasound results and took xrays. He talked more than he listened to me. I barely got a chance to explain my concerns. It was an awful experience. And what upsets me most, is I have to pay for bad service.
He’s pretty quick, but thorough.
