He did a very good job of trying to make me feel like an idiot as I was asking questions about the issue in witch see him about he was very arrogant and very rude the entire visit made me feel unwelcome and as if my issue was none of his concern

Dr. John M. Turnbull, M.D. is a native of Livingston, Tennessee. He returned home after extensive training to provide the residents of the Upper Cumberland region with specialized orthopedic care. He is proud to serve patients in Cookeville, Tennessee, at Tier 1 Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Institute.
Dr. Turnbull graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, earning a degree in chemistry. As a varsity baseball player at Vanderbilt University, he was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and served as team co-captain his senior season. He then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
While at Wake Forest, Dr. Turnbull was honored with the Resident Training Award and also served as team physician for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team.
Dr. Turnbull’s special interests in his general orthopedic practice include arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, as well as hip and knee reconstruction. His interests also include treating sports-related injuries. Whether you are a high-level collegiate athlete or a 50-year-old weekend warrior, Dr. Turnbull will help you get back in the game.
Dr. Turnbull is a member of the medical staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, where he served as chief of the surgery department in 2010. He also maintains privileges at Livingston Regional Hospital and White County Hospital.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Turnbull enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys woodworking, golfing, running, and fly fishing.
