Dr. Tozzi has been a founding member of Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey, along with Dr. Clint Ferenz, since 1989. He has fostered comprehensive and state of the art orthopaedic care which has blossomed to include 37 musculoskeletal specialists. Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey is now merged with Brielle Orthopaedics.
Dr. Tozzi has performed thousands of joint replacement surgeries, which includes over 7,500 total joint arthroplasties, in his private practice.
For the past 35 years, he has been a member of the Department of Orthopaedics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Formerly, Dr. Tozzi was the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Services for 20 years.
Dr. Tozzi is Board-Certified and is a member of numerous societies. He is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty in joint replacement. Dr. Tozzi is also fluent in speaking Spanish.
He is an active member of his community and is involved in many fundraisers, especially in support of The Alexandra Rose Tozzi Memorial Foundation, of which he is a founder. The foundation was created in honor of Dr. Tozzi’s daughter who was killed in a motor vehicle accident and whose organs were donated so that others may live. To date, the foundation has donated over $1,000,000 to needy causes in the community. The foundation focuses on organ donation awareness, access to educational opportunities for children in need, and environmental issues important to the preservation of the beach and surrounding areas. Dr. Tozzi and his wife Mary Jane have three other children and reside in Spring Lake, New Jersey.
Dr. Tozzi, along with Blanca’s House completed a medical mission in Loja, an Andes Mountain region in Ecuador with the support of the Ecuadorian Military, who flew them from Guayaquil, Ecuador. During the mission, he performed 22 total knee arthroplasties in a 3.5 day span.
In 2018, Dr. Tozzi was invited to be a distinguished visitor on the Aircraft Carrier, John C. Stennis for 28 hours. During his time aboard, he was given the opportunity to participate in an arrested (trap) landing as well as visualizing maneuvers in jets taking off and landing day and night, 200 miles off the coast of Mexico. Dr. Tozzi also attended dinner with the Admiral and Captain as 1 of 8 honored guests.
He is especially proud of his large family which, in addition to his wife and children, includes over 50 nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Doctor Tozzi is wonderful . I am scheduled for my hip replacement in November . I trust in him and would have no other surgeon perform my surgery .This will be my third joint replacement surgery with Dr Tozzi in the last 15 years . He is a perfectionist .
