Upon completing his degree, Dr. Kirchner began a one-year rotating internship in General Surgery at Hahnemann University, followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery which he completed in 1997 at Allegheny University of the Health Sciences, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kirchner is wonderful... he's a kind and gentle man and he truly cares about the well-being of his patients. I trust him wholeheartedly and I wouldn't trade him for any other Dr. in the world and I would refer him to anyone.

Dr. Kirchner was very nice and explained my injury as he had seen it on the mri and treatments available. He gave me his recommendation and the reason he came to that.

Dr. Kirchner moved to Birmingham, Alabama to pursue a one-year fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the American Sports Medicine Institute.
