Dr. John S. Kirchner completed his undergraduate studies at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia 1988. He graduated medical school 1992 at Hahnemann University. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Kirchner began a one-year rotating internship in General Surgery at Hahnemann University, followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery which he completed in 1997 at Allegheny University of the Health Sciences, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kirchner moved to Birmingham, Alabama to pursue a one-year fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the American Sports Medicine Institute.

I have been seeing him since 2006. I’ve had numerous surgeries and they all turned out good.
I was fortunate enough to get a same-day appointment with Dr. Kirchner and was very pleased with my visit. He took the time to listen to my issues and did not rush through the appointment.
Love his attention to detail and his whole office staff is amazing !!

Dr. Kirchner has a great bedside manner and is so easy to talk to. He takes time to answer all my question. He’s also an incredible foot surgeon!
The Best at his business.
Dr. Kirchner repaired some torn tendons in my foot. He is knowledgeable and kind, with a good sense of humor. He listened to my questions and answered them fully. Brett, the Durable Medical Equipment Technician, worked hard to adjust a boot to fit my special issues, and was friendly and patient.
