Dr. John Rodriguez-Feo is a member of The Orthopaedic Center Spine Team. He is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in comprehensive spinal care, utilizing minimally-invasive and traditional spine surgery techniques to treat cervical, thoracic and lumbar disorders. The procedures he performs include motion sparing procedures, robotic-assisted surgery, scoliosis and deformity surgery, and revision surgical treatment. Dr. Rodriguez-Feo tailors his recommended treatment plan to specifically address each patient’s concerns, and will work with you to develop a comprehensive care plan that will deliver maximum relief while minimizing downtime.
Dr. Rodriguez-Feo was raised in Fairhope, Alabama. He attended the University of Georgia on academic scholarships graduating with First Honors, Highest Honors, and Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. Dr. Rodriguez-Feo attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and then completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center/OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from the combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia performing complex spine surgical care at the Emory University Hospitals, Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Atlanta Veterans Administration Hospital.

I had surgery done by Dr. Rodriguez- Feo and I am beyond grateful and thankful for the wonderful job he did on my back. I highly recommend him. The entire time was great.

Dr. Rodriguez was very personable. I have been experiencing a good bit of pain for almost 4 months. I’ve seen multiple Dr’s without any resolution. He took his time & actually got down to the root of my problem. All staff members were also very welcoming & kind.
My spinal fusion surgery went unsurprisingly well. Dr. RF is a meticulous, thorough and friendly surgeon. His reputation precedes him. Nurses,PA’s & techs from other practices, when learning he is my surgeon, were complementary and expressed admiration & respect for the way he runs his operating room. I was told he is no nonsense, focused, and 100% dedicated to excellent work. It is absolutely true. I have had a few surgeries in my life, but Dr. RF is the only surgeon who expresses great excitement and joy that I was pleased with the results of his work. Please consider consulting Dr. RF if you are in need of any spinal surgery or if you have questions whether or not you need spinal surgery. He is reticent to “push“ a surgical intervention until he and his patient are satisfied that it is the best course of action. His surgical philosophy is he wants his patients to be well informed of the risks and likely benefits.
