Dr. John Nasr joined Neurology Group in 2000. After receiving his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in 1995, he completed his neurology residency at SUNY/Stony Brook in 1999 and a fellowship in Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at SUNY/Stony Brook in 2000. Dr. Nasr is Board Certified in Neurology and was one of the first physicians in the NY/NJ area to receive Epilepsy Board certification in 2013. He started the Epilepsy program at The Valley Hospital in 2001. He treats Adult Neurology patients with special focus on Epilepsy and related disorders. He is the Director of the Epilepsy Center and the Adult Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at The Valley Hospital. Dr. Nasr, is also active in the Bergen County and New Jersey State Medical Societies, and has served on various Medical Society boards and committees since 2011. He was elected President of the Bergen County Medical Society in 2015. He speaks fluent Arabic.
