Education and Expertise
Dr. Yanik graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Biomechanics). He received his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dr. Yanik then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Following his residency, he completed an additional year of subspecialty fellowship training in hand and upper extremity at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

After reviewing my X-rays with injury to hand I was worked into practice as an emergency patient. Excellent care.
This was my second apt with Dr Yanik - I like him very much and believe him to be a excellent sports Doctor- however - I arrived this time for my apt 15 minutes early - was taken to an exam room around the time of my apt - met with the PA - and then waited over an hour - he never showed. I had allotted full hour for what should have been a 10 minute follow-up apt - I was out of time and advised the front desk I needed to leave. I was told I would be removed from the schedule without an offer to reschedule. I give Dr yanik a 10 out of five - I give the management of the practice a one.
Such a great Doctor and explains everything for his patients to understand.
