Dr. John Lieser graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He subsequently obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Dr. Lieser went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery with training in facial plastics at Eastern Virginia Medical School. The program included extensive pediatric training at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. Dr. Lieser is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery with the University of Virginia and remains academically active in training senior otolaryngology residents. Dr. Lieser is also a board member of the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology. He has been selected by Northern Virginia Magazine as one of the "Top Doctors" in Otolaryngology since 2012.
