I received the care that I was intended for going to visit Dr. Czenwein. All went great!

I was walked into the room to get my cortisone injection, not explained anything in anyway. The nurse told me to lay down and she proceeded to pull my pants down. There was talking between doctors and nurses but no communication towards me whatsoever. It was my first one and I don't even know the process STILL. I don't even know what the cortisone injection is supposed to do for my back. I was given NO information whatsoever and no warnings about the needles to come. Just chatter among doctors one second and getting stabbed the next, only to feel like he was playing guitar on my nerves. And I had NO warning that ANY of this was to come. I was absolutely OUT of the loop and genuinely made me not want to get another injection :)

Dr. Sue is so kind and professional. I asked for extra numbing before my injection and he happily obliged.

Dr. Czerwein is not only THE best back/neck/spine surgeon, but he treats his patients like they are the ONLY patient he has! He actually called me at home the night before my back surgery to see how I was feeling, did I have any last minute questions, etc. - who does that? He also visited me on Father’s Day morning- who does that? He is kind and funny but extremely knowledgeable about his field - he doesn’t take himself seriously but he takes his job seriously! Also, his Team is THE best!!!! Leslie Billington, NP, who goes into surgery with him, is ALSO kind and funny but extremely knowledgeable about what she’s doing and was very “user friendly” when she sat with me for my Pre Op Appt., taking the time to answer all of my questions. Also part of this “Dream Team” is Kyra Gabow, PA. She, too, is kind and understanding and knowledgeable and is willing to sit and REALLY listen to any concerns/questions! Taylor Beck, their Office Manager, keeps it all flowing and is SO very kind to me❣️

Been with Dr.Czerwein for a few years now. Have many issues with spine and neck due to scoliosis , disc disease, etc. Had 3rd spine surgery about 3yrs ago, had rods, screws, and spacers inserted. Although my daily functions have changed and are limited, pain is now tolerable and manageable under his care and procedures. I am very thankful and grateful for Dr.C and his Staff.

Been with Dr. Czerwein probably 6years now. Three surgeries on lower spine, now have rods, screws, and spacers inserted/along spine. I like the way the Dr explains everything

I’ve had two appointments, the second of which I confirmed with the receptionist that I’d be seen by Dr. Czerwein, and he has yet to even enter the room to introduce himself. For the second time, I had a conversation that was no more than 10 mins in length with a PA. I have no reason to believe he has even looked at my x-rays and obviously it was decided somewhere between the time I entered the exam room and when the PA walked in that it wasn’t important he meet with me despite my emphasis on my symptoms significantly impacting my daily life.

My initial appointment was in May, in which I saw Kyra Gabow. I was advised to get an EMG, which was done a month later. I had to wait another month after that to see Dr. Czerwein simply to go over the results on the EMG. During that follow-up appointment, the doctor didn’t even know that I got an EMG until I mentioned it which was the whole point of the appointment!

Lumbar injection, he is a 'sharpshoot' with an injection needle. Guides the needle right over my damaged nerve area, questioning me on the ways in as an additional guide. He tries to make the procedure as gentle as possible. He delivers symptom relief.

He ended the appointment by walking out and saying come back in a month. I had questions I wanted to discuss which he was clearly uninterested in doing.

Dr. John Czerwein is an outstanding Dr. and spinal surgeon. He also provides exceptional and expertise care to his patients.

Always takes the time to answer questions, and actually listens to my concerns about my spine health. I recently had surgery, and was shocked when he called me after hours to see if I had any last minute questions or concerns. Best of all, I have confidence in him, and I trust him to recommend what's best for my individual needs.

Visits are on time, friendly office workers, and doctor Czerwein is one of the best doctors I see.

My fault, I thought my appointment was for 9am, but was for 10am. The front desk person, who is very great, checked to see if the doctor could see me earlier and they said they could. I was very thankful and was soon brought into a room and waited for an hour which was 10am, just st in time for my appointment.( I could have done something else in that hour.) Dr Czerwein came in and introduced himself (very nice), quickly looked at the MRI pictures and said I have arthritis. I know I don’t express my pain or symptoms that are easily understood, but I think he could have asked a few more questions and given me more than the 3 minutes he gave. I went home, made quiche and chicken cordon bleu and was in excruciating pain and spasms.

Been a patient of Dr. Czerwein's for about 5 years now. Had third surgery about 3 years ago inserting rods, spacers, and screws. My spine was in bad shape due to scoliosis, disc disease, etc. The pain will never go away, but thanks to Dr. Czerwein through surgeries and procedures the pain is tolerable most of the time. Would not want any other Doctor working on my Spine, with my extensive issues.

Poor communication. Did not appropriately address my pain level. Called the office and asked for stronger med for acute pain. Did not call me back. Had to call again next day and office said I hadn’t called. Had to start over again as to where my pain is located. So frustrating.

Not informed I would be seeing the PA. Dismissed at checkout by practice manager as , " I don't understand how these practices work". Wrong answer.

I love this Doctor. I was crippled by pain from compressed discs, arthritis and horrible burning foot neuropathy. He did two spinal decompression surgeries and now I'm getting bilateral injections in my back for the arthritis and its like I have a brand new life!

The nurse practitioner was thourough in explaining to me in a way that helped me understand what was going on with my health.

I was expecting to see Dr. Czerwein and instead a PA came in to the room, even tho I specified on my portal a request to see him. She was “okay “ but I want to hear from the Dr. Who did my surgery how was I doing after been a year of my surgery. Also to know if there was new progress? I trust her word on “my progress “ based on the X-rays done on site and been compared to the previous ones. But I was still disappointed that I didn’t get to see my Dr. and what he has to say based on my concerns and the Xray’s done on site.

Great experience so far! Dr. C answered all my question, took extra time to call me the night before to check-in. The operation day was a smooth as silk.

I cannot comment on Dr. Czerwein because I did not get to see him. Saw the PA even though this was my first appointment and I was scheduled with Dr. Czerwein. The PA was very nice but I wish I had been told ahead of time that I was to be seen by the PA instead. There was a long wait in the exam room before I was seen.
