Dr. Mathews is a professional in every sense of the word. By that I mean, he listens intently to your concerns, asks questions and waits for your responses. He is the first Orthopedic Surgeon who showed me both of my knees (by X-ray) for comparison and for my understanding of the surgery I had, had. He then outlined in detail the instruction for my therapists to follow for a speedy recovery. At my follow-up appointment, he gave me the option of reconstruction or continued therapy. Continued therapy was my best option. May I inform the reader that Dr. Mathews was not the Surgeon who initially gave me the knee replacement. I visited him for repair work. How I wish he was my original Surgeon. He is well-mannered and pleasant to talk to. He is concerned about the healing of his patient and wants the best care from his physical therapist. Don’t hesitate to have continued conversation with him.

Dr. Matthew's was very kind and he went above and beyond to explain my MRI and Diagnosis in A language that most people can understand. He wasn't out to do surgery for unnecessary procedure. I fully trust him and his opinion! I recommend him to anyone who's having hip pain, knee Pain or back pain!

The scheduler at the practice made my son’s appointment with Dr. Matthews, and he was no help to him for a ACL, MCL and meniscus tear sustained during a college football game, as he only does Knee replacement surgeries. However, his suggestion was physical therapy which is not the ideal treatment for a young college athlete. ACL tears require surgery if the patient wants to return to a high level of play as the ACL doesn’t not heal in its own. Over bad experience with the practice. Fortunately we had scheduled another appointment with a different practice the next day and were immediately treated. My son was put in a brace as he had a lot of instability in his knee which wasn’t even offered at this practice.

Another doctor told me I need both hip replacement. He showed me my x-ray and explained to me why I didn't need the surgery. I have hip bursitis and he gave me the exercise printout that I need to do. First time meeting him. I was very HAPPY. great bedside manners :).
Thank you Doctor Matthews
