John Horberg, M.D. is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Reconstructive Surgery including hip, knee, and shoulder replacement as well as Orthopedic Trauma and the surgical care of fractures.
Dr. Horberg earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. After medical school, Dr. Horberg was accepted into the Orthopedic Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University where he trained for an additional five years before graduating. After residency, Dr. Horberg chose to sub-specialize in Adult Reconstructive Surgery. He completed his fellowship at the Virginia Tech Carillion School of Medicine under Dr. Joseph Moskal who is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on the minimally invasive direct anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty.
Currently, Dr. Horberg’s practice is focused on the total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement. In addition to routine joint replacement, he specializes in the reconstruction of complex deformities and revising painful, infected, or otherwise failed joint replacements performed by other surgeons. As one of the only fellowship-trained joint replacement specialists in the state of Wyoming, Dr. Horberg is happy to serve the needs of the region.

Dr. Horberg is one of the most down to earth, honest, no fluff, professional, confidence instilling physicians I've ever been treated by. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking the surgical procedures that are his expertise. A few months ago I referred a good friend of ours who needed hip replacement surgery, to Dr. Horberg. In fact, Dr. Horberg just performed the hip replacement on this individual earlier this week. He is a remarkably capable surgeon. PB&J is truly fortunate to have him on staff.
