John Horberg, M.D. is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Reconstructive Surgery including hip, knee, and shoulder replacement as well as Orthopedic Trauma and the surgical care of fractures.
Dr. Horberg earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. After medical school, Dr. Horberg was accepted into the Orthopedic Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University where he trained for an additional five years before graduating. After residency, Dr. Horberg chose to sub-specialize in Adult Reconstructive Surgery. He completed his fellowship at the Virginia Tech Carillion School of Medicine under Dr. Joseph Moskal who is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on the minimally invasive direct anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty.
Currently, Dr. Horberg’s practice is focused on the total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement. In addition to routine joint replacement, he specializes in the reconstruction of complex deformities and revising painful, infected, or otherwise failed joint replacements performed by other surgeons. As one of the only fellowship-trained joint replacement specialists in the state of Wyoming, Dr. Horberg is happy to serve the needs of the region.

I can’t say enough for Dr. Horberg, he has helped me so much with my pain in my knee and his professionalism and how he explains everything to me. Because of him I get to do the things with my grandchildren that I couldn’t do without his treatment. him and his staff are so kind and understanding and they listen I would recommend him to anyone.
Doc Horburg is a very attentive physician. He listens to me. Asks questions so he can understand your situation. He doesn't tell me what I want to hear, he tells me what I need to hear. I have given all of my trust in him, that he is able to fix my hips!
