Dr. Chiavetta attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate training and Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was then selected for a joint replacement fellowship in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Chiavetta returned to his hometown to join the physicians at Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in August, 2005.

Best Doctor and Surgeon I've ever been too! 100% confident in anything he recommends!
I went to several surgeons before I saw Dr. Chiavetta and instantly knew I wanted him to do my hip replacement. He is extremely well regarded, very experienced, has the best bedside manner and, being a younger patient for this type of procedure, he was able to put all my fears to rest. It was worth traveling 3 hours from home to have Dr. Chiavetta do the operation.
Excellent doctor. He has done a knee replacement prior I would not want to go to anyone else but him.

Dr. Chiavetta replaced my wife's two knees as well as my left hip which required a lengthening of the leg by 0.625 inches. At 8 weeks after surgery, my hip pain is zero. Lengthening my leg radically improved my quality of life.
