Dr. John Carroll, M.D., was born in Orangeburg, SC. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wofford College and received his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine. In 1998, he completed his pediatric training at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital and has been in private practice in Columbia since then including with Children's Choice Pediatrics for 11 years. He joined the SouthernMED Pediatrics team in January of 2020. He and his wife Ashton have three children.

Very attentive to concerns or questions about children. Always eagerly helpful when addressing or getting you to the correct resources. True definition of a family doctor when it comes to pediatrics. My children look forward to going to visit and catching up with this guy. This man has made parenthood so much easier.

Best pediatrician ever! My kids are comfortable with Dr. Carroll & truly like coming to their appointments because he’s great with them! I’ve been bringing my kids for over 10 years & he actually takes his time with the children & the parents He does what he can to fix any concerns. I recommend everyone to bring their kids to him.
