Dr. John Carroll, M.D., was born in Orangeburg, SC. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wofford College and received his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine. In 1998, he completed his pediatric training at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital and has been in private practice in Columbia since then including with Children's Choice Pediatrics for 11 years. He joined the SouthernMED Pediatrics team in January of 2020. He and his wife Ashton have three children.

We love Dr. Carroll. He spends time with kids and really wants to know them. He's very easy with kids and they enjoy going to see him. It's convenient to book appointments online day of for a sick child.
