I see Dr. Hwang for years. Starting with his office staff, his assistants and the Dr. are great. I definitely recommend to see him.

I liked this doctor initially, but my opinion has changed. Dr. acts like it’s an imposition to answer my questions. He just expects me to accept what he tells me without my understanding thoroughly what is happening to me. He’s even told me to just believe him! I am an educated woman who wants clear communication. I have addressed this with him, but nothing changed. I also dislike his use of “Hello, my dear,” and “Take care, my dear,” as his form of friendliness. I’m older than him and I deserve respect. Maybe these two issues are cultural differences, but this doesn’t fly with me. Recently, I had an infection in the macular degeneration eye. I called to see what I should do. They had me make an appointment. I drove far to get there in Santa Ana. When I showed up, he refused to see me telling the assistant to tell me he doesn’t treat problems. I was furious! My insurance prevents me from going elsewhere, so I plan to see if another doctor in the practice might be a better fit.
