Dr. John Lawton Beight, M.D., is a highly-trained board-certified orthopaedic surgeon providing comprehensive care to patients at OSRA Orthopaedics.
In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Beight also holds hospital appointments at Holy Redeemer Hospital, where he is a member of the Infection Control Committee and the Medical Records Committee. Previously, Dr. Beight served as an Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Beight graduated cum laude with his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed a surgical internship and residency training in Orthpaedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dedicated to furthering his knowledge, Dr. Beight completed a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital/Pennsylvania Hospital with Dr. Richard Rothman & Dr. Robert Booth.
Throughout his orthopaedic training and experience, Dr. Beight's work has appeared in numerous publications, abstracts, and presentations regarding advances in the field of orthopaedic surgery.

Everything in the hospital, surgical, etc. went fantastic. Doctor Beight was really good, professional. Explanation of things I could understand thank you Honestly everybody there were great. My only problem: the first night at home with the list of the medicines that I was to take. So CONFUSING !! I know you listed all in alphabetical order but to go between morning, to as needed, to morning again, or evening and switch again as needed morning, etc. that was VERY confusing but other than that, I do appreciate all you’ve done and I’m thankful for Dr. Beight, the surgical department and upstairs thank you very much. Have a good day and the rest of the week/end.
