John Babb, M.D.

Dr. Babb and his team took care of me for 23 weeks as I rehabbed a serious rotator cuff injury. The entire staff from the office to reception and the physical therapists were all courteous, polite and caring. I would recommend Mid-America Orthopedics to anyone.

I was very unimpressed and frustrated with my experience with Dr Babb. I waited in the waiting room for 45 min, the exam room for another 30 min. When the Dr finally came in he spent 3 minutes explaining the problem and then left without being willing to answer any questions or give any helpful information. I will be finding a different Dr.

The PA’s did all the work. He just rubbed stamped it. Mark Vail was great I didn’t even see him the last visit even though that was who I was scheduled to see. The other pa ?Rachel?was ok.

Awesome injury dr. He has fixed my severy broken ankle and wrist/hand over the last 15 years. Now he is going to fix my left shoulder. I am happy with the outcome of the last 2 surgeries. I know my shoulder will be fixed right!

Great doctor but the waiting time is excessive. 45 minutes past appointment time. Even the front desk girls were talking among themselves how “Dr Babb must be having a hard time getting back in the grove today”.

2 Knee surgeries 1 Torn Ulnar Tendon 1 Broken Ankle w/ torn ligaments. Dr Babb has not only been a highly valuable resource for my current and future Athletic health needs. He has always been the standard for professionalism. He has taken the time to talk to me every visit and I truly feel that he has a vested interest in my well-being.

I found Dr Babb to be very thorough, intelligent in his profession, professional, problem solving, and was very personable.

I saw a PA not Dr. Babb. The wait wasn’t very long. I was my follow up appointment after the L hip due to pain worsened after my June 2 labrum repair. I now have pain all day

Dr. Babb has refused to sign off on the suggestions from his team that is actually assessing me but does not come into the room and do his own assessment or explain his decisions and discuss options.

John took great care of me. He got me into surgery the next day. I really am thankful for the quality of service so I can start the road to recovery.

Snotty attitude. Made me feel insignificant. Didn’t care for him at all.

I've been passed around from doctor to doctor and he's the first one that actually *listened* to what I was saying.

I'm 8 weeks post-op. My wife had the same surgery a month earlier. Neither of us are very mobile. I don't feel I was properly informed of other options (some of which are not offered by this doctor). In retrospect, the protocol my wife went through was identical to my experience, which tends to make me feel that diagnosis is very scripted, even "cookie cutter".

I saw Mark, one of Dr. Babb's P.A.'s. Usually I don't have any complaints, but during this visit, I felt that Mark was completely unprepared, wasn't able to read the MRI well, didn't look at the MRI report, and basically wasn't up to speed for my situation. He suggested further testing, which I felt was appropriate, but I was very disappointed in my interaction with him, and in the future will make a point to ask for Dr. Babb or Tenielle.

Spent ample time with me and answered all questions!

Dr. Babb was very kind, and took the time to make sure that we understood what is going on with our son. He made sure to calm my son's fears, as well.

This was my first visit with Dr.Babb and I felt like he listened to my concerns and what I was thinking was wrong with me from all my crazy research I do. Too soon to give an informed answer.

I had to wait an hour to see him for hike to come in say looks good come back in 6 weeks. If I would have been 45 minutes-hour late I would have been told too bad. It makes me mad that their time is important to them but did not feel like my time was valued.

Only seen him once so that’s why only 4 stars.

Dr. Babb has done a great job with several issues for me. He has treated me for osteoarthritis in both of my knees, but more importantly, he performed an operation on my torn rotator cuff. Apparently mine was a particularly bad tear and my bicep tendon was also torn. The surgery went well and the recovery has gone better than expected. Through all of it, Dr. Babb has well explained everything going on. I am very happy with Dr. Babb.
