John Axley, MD

Dr. John Axley, M.D., is a highly trained, board-certified vascular surgeon at the Surgical Clinic, PC, which services patients in Auburn, Opelika, and the surrounding counties in Alabama. Dr. Axley is dedicated to improving vascular health through advanced surgical and minimally invasive treatments. A graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Axley completed his residency in vascular surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he also contributed to innovative outcomes research in the field. Dr. Axley treats a broad range of vascular conditions, including carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease, limb salvage, and venous disease. He is skilled in both open surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques, allowing him to deliver personalized, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs. After practicing for two years at Coastal Vascular and Interventional in Pensacola, Florida, Dr. Axley is now proud to serve the Auburn/Opelika community, helping patients achieve better vascular health and improved quality of life. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Axley enjoys college sports and spending time with his wife, Dr. Page Axley, and their daughter, Eleanor.
