He never let me finish a single sentence. He didn’t even address the reason I was there to begin with. He only took X-rays when he should’ve been ordering an MRI to be able to see the problem I was having. He only ordered physical therapy with hasn’t ever helped in the past. I was not happy with this doctor at all! I will not be returning!!

I was a first time patient of Dr. Guzzo’s. I was very impressed by his bed side manner, professionalism, knowledge, and compassion that he showed me. What a relief it is to know I’ve found such an amazing Dr!!

Thank You. Shots for my knees came just in time. Your Right hand man and his trainer both did an excellent job.

I rarely see Dr. Guzzo. I have seen Austin multiple times. While I think Austin is competent, I would like to see the doctor more frequently.

He was very easy to explain my issues to and for me to understand his explanations

I know Dr. Guzzo is a great physician. I intentionally scheduled with him, but when I went in to my appointment, I was only seen by his PA. I know the medical world has changed and it’s hard to see a specific doctor, but I think that it would be nice to be informed ahead of time. I was very happy with the PA. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. It does seem like the staff is in a time crunch. I might have asked a few more questions and discussed other possible concerns.

Dr Guzzo is more than AMAZING, and so is his staff. Everyone here actually cares and it shows by the way they treat you. They really care!
Dr. John Guzzo is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and general orthopedics. He joined Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in 2014, shortly after his service as an orthopedic surgeon in the United States Army. As an army major and collegiate athlete, Dr. Guzzo was drawn to the field of sports medicine out of the desire to help others perform and compete at high levels, though his experience in the military has made him well-rounded in orthopedics and provided him with the ability to treat a wide range of conditions and help eliminate pain, restore function, and provide patients with the ability to compete or work again.
Dr. Guzzo completed his undergraduate education at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, before attending medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Later, he completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency training at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, before serving as an orthopedic surgeon at Winn Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart, Georgia.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Guzzo enjoys playing with his children. Outside of orthopedics, his interests include exercise, electronics, and technology.
