Dr. Kaluzny’s path to ophthalmology was unique. Immediately following his undergraduate education, he joined a highly skilled team of optomechanical engineers at Jet Propulsion Laboratory to design astronomy instruments for ground- and spacebased imaging systems. After five years with JPL, Dr. Kaluzny chose to pursue a career in medicine as a way to combine his technical skills with his passion for interacting with and helping people. His residency at the Casey Eye Institute provided him the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population with a wide range of complex ocular conditions. He further enhanced his experience by going on outreach trips and working in resident clinics to help people with eye problems in underserved communities.

He was great!
Professional, cordial, quick. Explained well. Like him.
Pleasant, friendly, easy to talk to. Took time to explain procedures and options. He answered any questions or concerns that I had. Later when I had surgery, he asked again if I had any questions before we started. The procedure went very smoothly with no pain during or after. Follow-up next day, great.
Super qualified doctor with nice manner and excellent recommendations. I trust him with my eyes.
Dr. Kaluzny is always professional and kind and makes me feel comfortable, even when he is pulling stitches out of my eyeball! Highly recommend!
