Dr. Kaluzny’s path to ophthalmology was unique. Immediately following his undergraduate education, he joined a highly skilled team of optomechanical engineers at Jet Propulsion Laboratory to design astronomy instruments for ground- and spacebased imaging systems. After five years with JPL, Dr. Kaluzny chose to pursue a career in medicine as a way to combine his technical skills with his passion for interacting with and helping people. His residency at the Casey Eye Institute provided him the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population with a wide range of complex ocular conditions. He further enhanced his experience by going on outreach trips and working in resident clinics to help people with eye problems in underserved communities.

Attentive, knowledgeable, professional
Good demeanor with patient. Explains each test and procedure. Good experience.
Listened to my concerns and was very helpful with solutions
I really REALLY like & respect Dr Kaluzny. He is thorough in his examination. Discusses his findings succinctly with me and makes suggestions regarding the way forward. He stated that I will need cataract surgery in the near future and discussed signs/symptoms to watch for to make a wise decision regarding timing etc
Dr. Kaluzny is a very cordial and competent physician. I had been a patient of another ophthalmologist for more than 20 years and, thus, had some apprehension about starting with a new doctor. Dr. Kaluzny immediately set me at ease from my first appointment. He and his experienced staff create a warm and secure environment and, above all, are extremely competent professionals.
