Dr. Sheehan became interested in studying the eyes by observing the profound impact vision can have on a person’s life, and the ability an ophthalmologist has to improve someone’s quality of life through medical and surgical options. Every spring, Dr. Sheehan spreads this knowledge and takes his life-changing abilities beyond Montana’s borders, participating in service work in Guatemala. He’s involved in a yearly cataract surgery and medical trip serving a rural part of the country where he both performs surgery and teaches eye surgery to Guatemalan ophthalmologists.
Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, Dr. Sheehan has truly made Montana his home. He loves doing just about anything outdoors, such as hiking, rafting, fishing, skiing and playing ice hockey, and he says the best part of his days are interacting with Montana patients and working alongside his incredible team who make it fun to come to work.

Always personable, helpful, professional
I went in for a yearly checkup of y cataract surgery as my vision was blurry. Advised me he was a surgeon and didn't really do what I came in for. I now have to go back as he did not do a good job of cleaning my cataract lenses, now I have floaters and they are still hazy spots in my vision.
excellent service
