After graduation, she moved to St. Louis, MO to attend the University of Missouri, St. Louis where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree. She began practicing as an optometrist in Missouri and Illinois, but has happily chosen to return to Fresno to be closer to her family & serve her community.
