He then went on to develop his own comprehensive private practice at Ocean Radiation Oncology, while also serving as Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center.
At ARC, Dr. Shah specializes in the treatment of prostate and breast cancers, utilizing the latest and most advanced radiation techniques including Image-Guided Volumetric Modulated Arc Radiation Therapy (IG-VMAT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT). He serves on the national Solaris Prostate Cancer Committee and the local IMP Advanced Prostate Cancer Committee, using his recognized expertise to develop patient care standards for implementation at the national and local levels.
Dr. Shah also spearheads radiation oncology quality maintenance and improvement programs at ARC. He was additionally a member of the team that secured FDA approval of the BioProtect balloon rectal spacer device that has helped revolutionize rectal protection during prostate cancer radiotherapy. Due to his recognized leadership in oncology, he has been invited to serve on numerous Advisory Boards to guide industry leaders in the development and roll-out of cancer therapeutics.
