Dr. Jill Placek, MD, FACOG is an experienced obstetrician and gynecologist who provides compassionate patient-centered care. Dr. Placek is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago where she served as Chief Resident. She is also a Certified DaVinci Robotic Surgeon. Dr. Placek speaks English and Spanish.
Dr. Placek has received numerous honors including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists’ Award for Excellence in Laparoscopy. In addition, Dr. Placek has numerous publications including Hysteroscopic evacuation of retained products of conception in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
Dr. Placek’s special areas of interest include holistic care before, during and after pregnancy, contraceptive care, adolescent gynecology, menopausal care, as well as minimally invasive surgical procedures including robotic-assisted and traditional laparoscopic techniques.
Outside the office, Dr. Placek enjoys traveling, amateur crafting, and actively participating in the ever-changing passions of her young daughter. Dr. Placek is accepting new patients.
