She additionally continued her studies and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident. To further hone her interests in the anterior segment and the cornea, Dr. Liao stayed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Diseases.
