Dr Owens was very friendly and knowledgeable and confirmed what my other Ortho Dr’s had diagnosed in CA. She recommended I see a trauma specialist and put in referral as well as suggested additional pain relieving options to the Pain Specialist when I see them in early October. She was honest about her opinions which I appreciated.

I have had one of the best experiences with Dr. Owens! She is truly the best and I so appreciate her caring nature and I feel like she truly cares about the well-being of her patients. Thank you for all you’ve done for me. It has been life changing. We’re not done yet but I look forward to my next surgery and moving onto a life without pain. As a science lover who enjoys connecting with people, a career in medicine made sense to Dr. Owens. She chose orthopedics for its unique opportunities to treat disease versus manage it. Her joint replacement specialized practice enables her to build relationships with people who have lived highly active lives and have interesting stories. For Dr. Owens, helping them return to active lifestyles is fulfilling.
Dr. Owens's pursuit of excellence began at an early age. When a college professor told her she couldn’t study sports medicine, compete as a full-time student athlete and do research, she made it her mission to prove the professor wrong. Not only did Owens graduate from Pepperdine University summa cum laude, but she was also named an NCAA All-Academic Honoree (all four years), Women’s Swim Team Scholar-Athlete of the Year (twice), Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Natural Science Division Outstanding Graduate, and was a class valedictorian finalist.
As a Northern Nevada native, Dr. Owens enjoys hiking, skiing, and swimming when she’s not caring for patients.
