Here’s a question: If during surgery a nerve is accidentally cut can it be repaired? I watch Veterinarians shows and have seen Tilapia fish skin used to treat burns. How about healing severed nerves? Enquiring minds, etc. Thanks for accepting me as one of your patients. Bob.

I've been coming to Cape Cod orthopedics for broken bones almost every year since 2015. This has been the one and only time I have ever seen a doctor. I started years ago with Dr Kincaid and never saw him ever.

Listens and understands patient issues. Made me feel comfortable about my surgery. The outcome of my surgery was excellent and my shoulder feels like new.

My surgery went amazingly well! I never needed more than two Tylenol after the block wore off. One week out and I am taking the occasional Tylenol. A dull ache is no more of an inconvenience than the sling.

Dr. Affonso is patient and takes the time to answer questions. I never feel rushed with him. He uses terms you can understood. I have confidence in his surgical ability. He apologized for keeping me waiting, although this has never happened before.

He was recommended by someone I know who works at Cape Cod Hospital. The first doctor I went to said I needed shoulder replacement. Dr Affonso, after assessing my shoulder, he was honest about what reverse shoulder replacement versus my current ability to move my shoulder would be like. Let me make decision. If/when the time comes, he will be the doctor I choose.

He is a great, very knowledgeable doctor who makes sure the patient understands everything, and even let's us ask questions. We are lucky to have him on the Cape!
