Dr. Sobel's training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation gives him a distinct perspective on pain treatment. Where many clinics default to surgery or rely heavily on medications, Dr. Sobel exhausts every non-surgical option first. His goal is to find the source of your pain, treat it precisely, and get you back to the life you want — without unnecessary procedures.
Dr. Sobel has deep expertise in spine conditions, nerve pain, and sports-related injuries, including:

Sobel Spine & Sports offers a full range of interventional and regenerative treatments including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, ultrasound-guided injections, and platelet-rich plasma therapy. EMG and nerve conduction testing are performed on-site by Dr. Sobel himself — not referred out.
The practice also has an in-house physical therapist, allowing Dr. Sobel to coordinate rehabilitation directly alongside interventional care for a seamless treatment approach.
Dr. Sobel relocated to Phoenix in 2010 after practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing over two decades of experience to the Valley. He has built his Phoenix practice one patient at a time through word of mouth and physician referrals. He sees patients from across the Valley — Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, and beyond.

Dr. Sobel opened his practice in Phoenix in April of 2010 and has very much enjoyed working and living in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. He is an avid cyclist and the proud owner of two wonderful French Bulldogs named Tiger and now Socks. Rocko recently passed away and he is in heaven chasing bunnies and getting belly rubs.
