Initially pursuing a career as an athletic trainer, Dr. Jeremy Walters, D.P.M., found his true calling in podiatry. Board Certified in Foot Surgery, Dr. Walters’ abilities range from treating sports medicine and orthopedic injuries and fractures to the management of non-surgical conditions. This varied skillset, alongside his nurtured passion for helping others, is what motivates Dr. Walters to care for each of his patients on an individual basis. He understands that the most common surgical fear of his patients is usually the pain and/or loss of function from surgery that may arise from a loved one’s former experience. However, with the evolution of various types of pain management and his specialty for providing arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgeries, Dr. Walters reminds his patients, “this isn’t your grandmother’s bunion surgery.”
Born and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Walters received his undergraduate degree in Health Education at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and pursued his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA at Temple University. He worked at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, a major multi-hospital health system, for his Internship and completed his residency at the West Houston Medical Center in Houston, TX, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Walters married his high school sweetheart, and they currently reside in Norfolk, VA, along with their three young children. When he isn’t serving his patients or in surgery, Dr. Walters enjoys fishing, watersports, cooking, and grilling.

Seen his PA. She was excellent explaining how and why gave me injection very professional
I didn't see the provider, I saw his new PA. Which, she seemed more of a middleman/messenger for him and it seems like it would have been easier to just be seen by him while she shadowed. This is my second time seeing this provider and both times I have left feeling unheard and unseen due to his lack of bedside manners, seems to listen to respond, and lack of seeing him for the second appt.

Dr. Walters has an amazing bedside manner. He is very professional and talks to you in a way you understand what’s going on.
I will always choose Dr Jeremy Walter's! He is an awesome professional! Did my surgeries a few years back and I healed up nicely. He takes time to explain everything in as much detail as you need! Im not ashamed to say that i love his care for his patients and his professional approach as a surgeon.
