Dr. Jennifer L. Gallo, O.D., completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Florida with a double major in Anthropology and Zoology. She completed her Doctorate studies at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, where she received honors in all of her clinical rotations. Following optometry school, she completed her internship in Pediatric and Binocular Vision, Corneal and Contact Lens, and Optometric Primary Care at The Eye Institute in Miami. She completed her residency at Braverman Eye Center in Hallandale, FL, focusing her studies on the treatment and management of ocular diseases. She finished with her externship there in optometric primary care.
With a dedication to the community, Dr. Gallo traveled with the DR. BRUCE HEIKIN MEMORIAL FUND, a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive eye exams and spectacles to underprivileged students in inner-city Miami.
Dr. Gallo is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the SW Florida Optometric Association.
She joined the staff at Tyson Eye in 2009 and specializes in contact lenses, dry eye treatment, glaucoma management, and pediatrics
She is a Florida native; raised in Bradenton. Dr. Gallo and her family moved to Ft. Myers in 2003. In her free time, she enjoys attending live theater and other activities with her family.
