Quick and painless. Doctor is very personable

Although Dr. Shakin was nice on a surface level. My grievance was with him entering and leaving the room multiple times and not using gloves to examine me after he returned. At one point I saw him pass with Tupperware in his hand. Which would also explain why our encounter was so brief, he was hungry and I was taking too much of his time. With all the precautions being taken for Covid, why was I not granted the curtesy and respect of either him washing his hands in front of me after he went and touched God knows what or either putting sterile gloves on to touch my eyes. Another gentleman captured images of my eyes who’s name escapes me, did the same thing. Aggressively reached for my eyes to assist in opening the lids with force and without permission! Once again, I would have loved permission to touch my face before you reach. Not to mention gloves be worn at all times! I felt handled by the tech. I will never return to this establishment nor will I recommend anyone else to do so.

I brought my elderly mom to see Dr. Shakin. Felt like he was in a hurry to see the next patient. Didn’t even ask how the patient was, or if she had any concern or question. Didn’t even explain or discuss voluntarily the results of the pre-test and photos taken on the patient’s eyes. We had to ask how were the results. When asked about specific issues about the effects of diabetes on her eyes, he seemed impatient when explaining.

Drops were put in my eyes to idolate them. 2 minutes later I was brought in for pictures. I told them drops were just done. He did the pictures anyway. He Also had trouble using the machine. I am upset with this visit. I am not just a number
