Dr. Jeffrey Jancuska, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. He provides care to patients at the Southern Oregon Orthopedics location in Medford, Oregon. He performs anterior total hip replacement as well as partial and total knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Jancuska is MAKOplasty® certified and utilizes robotics when appropriately indicated. He also has expertise in complex revision hip and knee replacements. Dr. Jancuska attended the University of Southern California and graduated magna cum laude. He obtained his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at the University at Buffalo and was selected to serve as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Jancuska then pursued subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital. While at Harvard, Dr. Jancuska gained extensive experience performing complex joint replacements and revising failed joint replacements. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), the specialty society for surgeons focused on hip and knee replacement. Dr. Jancuska is grateful to be able to perform first-time and revision hip and knee replacements and improve the lives of his patients day in and day out. He is dedicated to employing the latest advancements in surgical technology and techniques and providing patients with the knowledge they need to make an appropriate decision based on their unique symptoms. He believes in an individualized and evidence-based approach in order to promote safe, rapid recovery and help patients quickly return to an active lifestyle. Good bedside manner.
Dr. Jancuska explained everything that was going to happen. Made me feel very comfortable and confident to have the procedure performed.
Told me what he believes is the only options for my situation, treated me with what he could at the time, and we made a Plan for the future.
There just aren’t enough words to describe his character. Horrible! Dr Jancuska was the surgeon that did my total knee replacement 8 months ago so I needed a follow up up appointment for a broken femur & surgery that I had in California. Dr jancuska treated me like it was a real inconvenience to him. He was rude, condescending, & kept smirking throughout my appointment. His answers to my questions were not helpful at all. I will not go back to him again.
I very much appreciated Dr. Jancuska's professionalism and personal contact too. I feel he did his upmost best on my knee replacement, but this time I had more difficulties than my previous hip, knee and shoulder replacements caused for me. I do feel he would be available and willing to work with me if I needed more than I have received so far.
Dr. jancuska was obviously extremely knowledgeable and very clear on diagnosis and treatment options.

Dr. Jancuska is not the doctor who preformed my hip replacement. But was gracious enough to see me since Dr. Ho had been called into surgery & his staff was unable to contact me before I left home from Brookings. He & his assistant were very courteous, professional and answered all my questions & concerns. I really appreciate his willingness to see me which saved me another trip to Medford.
