Dr. Jeffrey Jancuska, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. He provides care to patients at the Southern Oregon Orthopedics location in Medford, Oregon. He performs anterior total hip replacement as well as partial and total knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Jancuska is MAKOplasty® certified and utilizes robotics when appropriately indicated. He also has expertise in complex revision hip and knee replacements. Dr. Jancuska attended the University of Southern California and graduated magna cum laude. He obtained his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at the University at Buffalo and was selected to serve as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Jancuska then pursued subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital. While at Harvard, Dr. Jancuska gained extensive experience performing complex joint replacements and revising failed joint replacements. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), the specialty society for surgeons focused on hip and knee replacement. Dr. Jancuska is grateful to be able to perform first-time and revision hip and knee replacements and improve the lives of his patients day in and day out. He is dedicated to employing the latest advancements in surgical technology and techniques and providing patients with the knowledge they need to make an appropriate decision based on their unique symptoms. He believes in an individualized and evidence-based approach in order to promote safe, rapid recovery and help patients quickly return to an active lifestyle. He's really great. When I was referred I was told to only see him for a hip replacement surgery. I understand why now. He's very kind, recognizes that you're pain is real and cares a lot about giving you relief and comfort. Explains everything very well.
He’s very considerate and listened completely and gave me alternatives and eventually we came to the decision and need a new hip. Best doctor ever.
Extremely impressed with Dr. Jankusca & his PA, MA, X-ray techs & entire staff. Friendly, professional, thorough & efficient. They started with X-rays on my knee & hip, examined, explained and recommended hip replacement, which was scheduled for 3 weeks away! I also got a cortisone shot for my knee and a “wait & see” for possible future knee surgery. I was prepared to have a long wait in the office, long process & a few months wait if surgery needed, so it was a pleasant surprise, I have total confidence in Dr Jancuska & happy that they have their own surgery center and will be able to avoid the hospital, The only negative has nothing to do with Dr Jankusca & his staff, but rather the online check-in. I was sent a request & link to check-in & complete health questionnaires,’history, & med list online. I spent quite a bit of time completing & submitting the forms, but then they don’t use this & end up asking the questions & giving you paperwork to complete in the office,
This was my first appointment with Dr. J, so I was a little bit apprehensive whether he would take my case or not. I found him to be very thorough, very knowledgeable, and I feel very confident with him.
