Dr. Jeffrey D. Stone, M.D.is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microsurgery. Additionally, he has received a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery. Dr. Stone completed his fellowship training in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular surgery. Dr. Stone remains a faculty member of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute Hand Fellowship program and a Principle Investigator at the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education.
Dr. Stone is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Tampa Bay Hand Club and the University of Florida Hand Fellows Alumni Club.
As an Affiliate Assistant Professor and Fellowship Training Program Instructor at the University of South Florida, Dr. Stone shares his professional knowledge and expertise training hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery students. He has authored numerous articles and lectured at national meetings on various upper extremity disorders.
Dr. Stone offers Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR) which offers pain relief for patients with amputation.
In his free time, Dr. Stone enjoys skiing, sailing, boating and coaching youth sports. He likes to spend time traveling with his family.

He is Good doctor
Dr. Stone operated on my left hand on July 15th and it has been like a miracle to be totally without pain. I am extremely hopeful that the surgery Dr. Stone completed Oct. 14th will have a similar, excellent result. Dr. Stone is a superb surgeon and I am confident all will be well.
He was very nice. Better than some Dr's we have met.
Dr. Stone is the best orthopedic doctor around. I owe him so much. I was able to continue a pretty normal life because of him. I had a very bad fall and shattered my elbow. In my initial surgery my arm or elbow could not move. DR. Stone reconstructed my elbow. I was than able to move it, feed myself and return to work after several months. God Bless him 🙏.
So friendly and yet professional
Very personable explained everything to my son the importance of no activity so finger can heal properly. Took his time to make sure and answer any questions he had. Explained how the therapy is important and what the tendons and muscles need so can function normal again!
I appreciate the time Dr Stone spent with me explaining my condition.
