Jeffrey Chasteen, DO

Dr. Jeffrey E. Chasteen is a highly experienced family medicine physician who has been providing compassionate, patient-centered care to the greater Tulsa metro for over two decades. A graduate of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000, Dr. Chasteen has maintained his board certification in Family Practice since 2003. His extensive background includes experience in family medicine, urgent care, hospice, and palliative care, making him well-equipped to address a wide range of healthcare needs for patients of all ages.

Dr. Chasteen’s decision to pursue medicine was driven by a desire to engage in a lifelong, intellectually stimulating career where he could make a direct impact on people’s lives. He thrives on the ongoing challenge that family medicine presents, especially the variability of cases and the deep relationships he builds with his patients. “The patient encounter itself is the thing I could never give up,” he says, reflecting on the honor of helping patients navigate their health challenges.

Dr. Chasteen believes in a collaborative approach to care, viewing himself as an advocate, interpreter, and guide for his patients. He empowers them to make informed decisions about their health while offering expert advice to help them choose the best path. This philosophy aligns perfectly with the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, which allows him to deliver care without the restrictions of insurance-driven decision-making.

Dr. Chasteen believes his past experience in hospice and end-of-life care has given him a unique perspective on the importance of compassionate, holistic care, which he integrates into his family practice. As a family doctor he is honored to help individuals and families through all stages of life, from preventive care to managing chronic conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Chasteen enjoys spending time with his wife, Mia, and is embracing his role as a grandparent following the arrival of his first grandchild, Margot. He is also an enthusiastic cook, channeling his former life as a short-order chef into his gourmet culinary endeavors. When he’s not in the kitchen, he can often be found indulging his passion for cars, boats, motorcycles, and other mechanical projects that may one day become part of his growing collection of “garage art.”
