I went to him so he could tell me what is wrong after years of neck pain and migraines. A board certified pain management Dr and several chiropractors had diagnosed my neck has having degenerative discs and Cervical spondylosiswithout myelopathy, he briefly looks at my xray and says my neck is normal. I explain that I have chronic pain and I want to know what is causing it. He orders an MRI. I continue to ask questions about potential reasons for the pain. I suggest PT to address posture issues. He says that's a great idea. I then ask about other pain control methods and am basically told it's trial and error. He does says that maybe I could have a disc replacement. After being told my neck was normal? I understand the MRI is necessary for further diagnosis, but why am I suggesting PT? Why isn't he looking at my entire spine and and suggesting PT or short term pain relief until we can get more answers? I felt totally dismissed.

Very nice dr. - only “complaint “ he had another patient; it was another 40 minutes before I saw him; he did apologize but then rather rushed through what the X-rays and what the next steps were. Just thought he was in a hurry-I could be wrong and I hope I was.

Spinal and neck pain can be life-changing. It can make even simple day-to-day tasks feel overwhelming. It can cause people to miss out on the life they love and enjoy. My philosophy of care is to treat you exactly how I would want someone to treat me or one of my family members. When you come into my clinic, I will work with you to discover the cause of your pain. I’ll take the time to explain your options so you can choose the best choice for your body and situation. I feel that this level of care helps put my patients' minds and hearts at ease which allows them to focus only on getting better. The way I see it is that it is my job is to guide patients safely through the process of healing to maximal recovery.
