Dr. Jeff Schafer, M.D., is an otolaryngologist from Dayton, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. After medical school, Dr. Schafer had a distinguished career within the United States Navy. He completed his otolaryngology internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and then reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola for training to become a Naval Flight Surgeon. As a flight surgeon, he was assigned to Naval Support Activity Souda Bay in Crete, Greece. He completed his otolaryngology residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and then served as a general otolaryngologist in Okinawa, Japan and Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Dr. Schafer is a board-certified otolaryngologist with expertise in treating diseases affecting the ear, nose, and throat for patients of all ages, infants to the elderly. He focuses on highly personalized care to optimize outcomes for his patients. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Schafer enjoys running, swimming, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his wife, two young children and their dog named “Booger”.
