He specializes in total medical management of the athlete, concussion management, all sports related injuries and platelet rich plasma amongst others.
Prior to joining Florida Orthopaedic Institute, Dr. Sellman spent four years in Columbia, South Carolina receiving residency and fellowship training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where he also served as a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Sellman is a certified ImPACT consultant and an advocate for concussion prevention. He has also authored seven publications and delivered lectures at universities and medical organizations, such as the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
Dr. Sellman’s personal interests are personal wellness, outdoor activities, running and cooking.

Dr. Sellman was a good choice to see for my hip. My pain management Dr. Jackson's P.A., saw me a month ago and asked me if there was anything else that was part of my back problem or maybe something else. I told her it was very annoying and if possible, just check it out and not worry that my back was encroaching too close to my hip, thus giving me trouble when I did certain movements. She recommended Dr. Sellman. He ordered an x-ray and saw it was fine. He said a steroid shot would manage the pain, or PT could help, too. I opted for PT. And he said that would be fine. He was very jovial and knowledgeable, as well. I appreciate the fact that he served time in the armed forces. That was a wonderful choice in his career prior to becoming an orthopedic doctor. I'm glad he mitigated my concern for my hip problem and highly recommend him to patients needing any medical attention anywhere on their entire leg foot or hip. Thank you
