Dr. Jayne F. Dabu, DAOM, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.

Dr. Jayne Dabu is the visionary Founder of Lotus Acupuncture & Holistic Health Clinic, established in Virginia Beach in November 2011. Her practice is built on a heartfelt mission: to deliver the most comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality holistic healthcare available in the Hampton Roads region.

Dr. Dabu is a Nationally Board-Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, holding a Diplomate in Acupuncture through the NCCAOM. She achieved a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Five Branches University in San Jose, California, solidifying her advanced clinical focus on Women’s Health, Endocrinology, Neuromuscular Medicine and Pain Management.

Her doctoral capstone investigated the specific application of her expertise: “The Efficacy of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Treatment of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).”

Dr. Dabu integrates numerous specialized modalities into her patient care, including: Advanced Clinical Nutrition Response Testing. Auricular Medicine, External Taoist Qi Gong Healing, Hypnotherapy, Acupoint Injection Therapy, and BioEnergetix Homeopathy

Dr. Dabu's path to holistic healing is both diverse and deeply personal. Prior to her medical career, she worked in the corporate world, serving as the Manager of Technology at Turner Classic Movies Network while completing her MBA. This followed her Bachelor of Science in Dance with a minor in History and a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems.

This career trajectory shifted profoundly when she received a cancer diagnosis. This event became the catalyst for a powerful self-healing journey. By integrating acupuncture, nutrition, alternative therapies, spiritual healing, and lifestyle change, she successfully overcame cancer. This powerful personal transformation inspired her to dedicate her life to guiding others toward similar profound healing.

She pursued her Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, FL, and gained valuable clinical experience working with patients recovering from stroke, trauma, and surgery at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Dabu believes that true healing must address every layer of a person's being—physical, emotional, and spiritual. This understanding, forged through her own cancer survival experience, fuels her devotion to her work. She integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine, herbal therapy, applied kinesiology, nutritional support, spiritual coaching, and mind-body healing to offer truly personalized care. Her goal is to walk alongside her patients, offering wisdom and support so they may reclaim their power and initiate a holistic transformation that ripples outward to enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.
