Dr. Patel completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. He then completed his Foot & Ankle fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
During fellowship, Dr. Patel obtained extensive experience in treating a wide variety of conditions including ankle arthritis, foot and ankle trauma, sports related injuries, and chronic deformities of the foot and ankle. His interests include lower extremity reconstruction, ankle replacements, fractures, and athletic injuries.
Dr. Patel is a member of several professional and scientific societies including the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with family, and trying new restaurants and different cuisines.

Dr Patel helped me with surgery for my heel bone spur that was affecting my Achilles. He is kind, professional, and doesn’t rush his patients. It is evident Dr Patel really cares for his patients and I’m grateful to be under his care
