Dr. Patel completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. He then completed his Foot & Ankle fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
During fellowship, Dr. Patel obtained extensive experience in treating a wide variety of conditions including ankle arthritis, foot and ankle trauma, sports related injuries, and chronic deformities of the foot and ankle. His interests include lower extremity reconstruction, ankle replacements, fractures, and athletic injuries.
Dr. Patel is a member of several professional and scientific societies including the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with family, and trying new restaurants and different cuisines.

Efficient, professional, listened and answered all questions
Dr. Patel is direct, clear and thorough in every explanation. I left feeling informed, supported and confident in the care I received and the plan ahead.
Dr. Patel was excellent. He returned a call after reading the CT scan. He was very reassuring. I’ll be seeing him again in 4 weeks.
Not very personal. Very matter of fact and rushed. Lacks the warmth you’d like to see when dealing with a chronic condition. As far as diagnosis and treatment, he is great otherwise.
