Dr. Patel completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. He then completed his Foot & Ankle fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
During fellowship, Dr. Patel obtained extensive experience in treating a wide variety of conditions including ankle arthritis, foot and ankle trauma, sports related injuries, and chronic deformities of the foot and ankle. His interests include lower extremity reconstruction, ankle replacements, fractures, and athletic injuries.
Dr. Patel is a member of several professional and scientific societies including the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with family, and trying new restaurants and different cuisines.

I feel he wasn't the best fit for my issues but guided me to someone who could diagnose my issues. He was very easy to discuss my problems with.
Unbelievably fast and knowledgeable. Very impressed how quickly I had x rays done and within just a few moments they were ready and Dr Patel had already seen them and interpreted them. Extremely impressed
Dr Patel, was very helpful in explaining my options with my foot and ankle problems.He recommended have a brace for my foot and gave me a prescription to make an appointment for the fitting.I would definitely recommend him for my friends that having any ankle or foot problems.DianeMcCoy
Dr Patel helped me with surgery for my heel bone spur that was affecting my Achilles. He is kind, professional, and doesn’t rush his patients. It is evident Dr Patel really cares for his patients and I’m grateful to be under his care
