Dr. Jay Luft, M.D. is a board-certified otolaryngologist who has been in practice in Delaware since 1988. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, majoring in electrical engineering and was president of his college fraternity, Kappa Delta Rho. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry with distinction and research. He was elected class president during his third and fourth year of medical school. Dr. Luft completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.

He has served as section Chief of Otolaryngology of the Christiana Care Health System and also has served as the president of the medical dental staff of the duPont Hospital for Children. He has participated in international missions in Ecuador with Operation Smile and has gone with Healing the Children for over 10 years to Ethiopia caring for children and adults, teaching the ENT residents, and performing surgery.
Dr. Luft enjoys playing music, gardening, beekeeping, and prior to COVID, he enjoyed traveling with his family and culinary adventure. He is a founding member of the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club joining with the club in 1989, helping with local, national, and international service.
Dr Luft sees children and adults, and is on staff at the Christiana Care and St. Francis hospitals

Dr. Luft did not rush through the visit. He took the time to listen and communicate with both myself and my son( patient). His knowledge and compassion highlighted his purpose as an ENT physician , to truly care for those that walk into his office.
