Dr. Jason J. Wilcox, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He provides complete care for most bone and joint problems with a special interest in the reconstruction of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Dr. Wilcox is especially interested in understanding the individual goals and expectations of each patient and then tailoring both surgical and nonsurgical treatments to meet those individual needs.
Dr. Wilcox lives in Seattle with his wife and two sons. He loves spending time with his family, watching his beloved Fighting Irish on Saturdays, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Dr. Wilcox and his family enjoy participating in the active lifestyle that is unique to the Pacific Northwest, and as such he is passionate about helping those sidelined with injury return to this active lifestyle as well.
Dr. Wilcox’s expertise is in: Reconstruction of the knee ligaments from isolated anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) to multiligamentous knee reconstructions; repair, debridement, and transplant of the knee meniscus; treatment of cartilage lesions including transfer, transplant, and autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI); arthroscopic treatment of hip impingement; arthroscopic treatment of shoulder instability, dislocation, and separation; arthroscopic repair of the rotator cuff; treatment of biceps tendon tears and pain; general fracture care and total joint arthroplasty.
Very kind and caring, personable. Admits what he doesn’t yet know regarding your issue without trying to fill in gaps. Spends quality time with you, answering all your questions until you understand the plan.

Dr. Jason Wilcox is an excellent orthopedic doctor, and I trust his assessments and care plans completely. What stands out most is the way he answers questions: practical and direct, but never rushed or dismissive. He gives you the real answer and makes sure you actually understand it before moving on. I also feel that he takes my well-being seriously. Instead of vague reassurance, he lays out a solid treatment plan, so I know what the path to recovery looks like and what to expect along the way. If you're choosing an orthopedic provider and want someone who will be straight with you and take the time to explain your options, I highly recommend Dr. Wilcox.

Incredibly smart and also easy to connect with. Used analogies to explain what I was seeing on X-rays and what was occcuring with me knee so that I could easily understand.

I can honestly say Dr. Wilcox is the best. My child has never been in so much pain and not only did he get him i not see him the same day, but he knew the agony he was in and made time for same day surgery for him. He is relatable and realistic and understands that everyone is different and some kids need to get back on the horse after healing and continue their activities in order to be themselves. He didn’t discourage that and simply made sure my son would be able to. THANK YOU from a Mom of an active child.

Dr Wilcox talked in a way that even a dumb guy like me could follow. He came in prepared, read test results and examined scans, beforehand. He laid out a plan of attack that made sense.
