Dr. Hurd is great. He explains and shows you graphics of the joint he’s referring to, which is helpful if you’re the kinda patient that likes to get a picture what’s going on with your joints. In my case shoulder, in your head.

He is someone who listens to you and takes the time to explain your trays and MRI pictures to you. I feel very good about him doing my shoulder surgery and know he will take care of me before during and after.

Dr. Jason Hurd has been a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbows, orthopedic surgeon, practicing in Sioux Falls since 2007. He offers computer navigated shoulder replacements and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and elbow.
Dr. Hurd completed undergraduate coursework at the University of Notre Dame and received a medical degree at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. He received his fellowship training from the New York Hospital for Joint Disease and is board–certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.
In addition to his practice, he also serves as a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.
When he is not working, Dr. Hurd likes to spend time with his wife and three children, playing golf, hunting, and enjoying the outdoors.
