Dr.Jason Higgins participated in a variety of research projects and publications in both trauma and sports medicine. He also wrote a textbook chapter for shoulder arthroscopy.
Dr. Higgins has extensive experience treating athletic injuries and has been credited as an instructor of orthopaedic surgery, teaching shoulder arthroscopy techniques to other orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr. Higgins served as the team physician for several high schools and universities including the University of Oklahoma. He currently consults for a number of NFL players with injuries.

My visit with Dr. Higgins was honestly one of the most enjoyable doctors appointments I’ve ever had. He made me very comfortable, was very knowledgeable, didn’t make me feel rushed, and very much made me feel as though he was going to help me out, and get to the bottom of my problems. I haven’t even received treatment yet, but I’m very confident that he is going to be a help to me. His bedside manner is fantastic, and I wish we had more doctors like him in Thibodaux.
Dr. Higgins was incredibly responsive to Daniel's need . Plus, his staff and entire team were nurtering and deeply concerned with his care. They treat the person, not just the injury.
